O mnie:

Eugeniusza Gepperta we Wrocławiu. Korea Południowa pomogła mi rozwinąć moje zdolności technologiczne a Stany nauczyły mnie większej odwagi i pewności siebie w wyrażaniu swoich pomysłów.

Welcome, everyone!

I would like to present you on this page, my works that have been created over the last years and I invite you to purchase those that are still available

About me:

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been surrounded by art. My home was filled with works by my grandparents, Helena and Roman Husarski, who were well-known artists after the interwar period. They specialised in ceramics and sculpture. I never had the chance to get to know them well, but they instilled in me a curiosity about what art – the art they loved so much – really is. It was this curiosity that led me to choose to study ceramics at the start of my artistic education.

I am a graduate of the Ceramics Department at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. During my studies, I was awarded a scholarship twice to study at a university abroad. First, whilst studying for my Bachelor’s degree, I spent two semesters at Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea, and during my Master’s degree, I spent one semester at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, in the United States. Both of these stays had a profound influence on the way I express myself through art. South Korea helped me develop my technical skills, whilst the US taught me to be bolder and more confident in expressing my ideas. After graduating from the Academy, I received a scholarship for a six-month placement in the studio of the renowned artist Kay Aplin in Brighton, UK. It was a very busy time for me, and above all, an incredibly enriching experience. After completing the placement, I took part in the international artist residency ‘Project Network’ at Guldagergaard in Denmark, where, for the first time, I was able to focus 100 per cent on my creative work, the results of which were, incidentally, displayed at the final exhibition at Guldagergaard. It was also a time when I began to feel confident in my artistic style and in what I want to do. I began to combine my two greatest passions – painting and ceramics – with the result that the ceramic surface became a kind of canvas for me. After completing my artist residency, I applied for a Global Talent Visa for the UK, which I was granted shortly afterwards. This enabled me to accept a job offer from the artist Kay Aplin (with whom I’d previously done an internship) to assist with a public art commission for Bidwell West, a new village in Houghton Regis, as a technician/studio assistant. Working in this ceramics studio taught me a great deal, above all perseverance and creative thinking. It was also my first experience of working with ceramic mosaics, which I I grew to love and still practise today.

In my work, I focus on the themes of feelings and emotions. My pieces mainly explore the theme of love, but I’m also interested in the interplay between the world of dreams and the real world. I often combine 2D and 3D formats to illustrate this divide. I draw much of my inspiration from my inner experiences, but also from observing the outside world. Sometimes I am moved by a scene I witness in a public place, which I then transfer onto a ceramic or painted canvas.
